Overview
The Rockery by the Rugby Club hut at the corner of Borough Park is covered with wild and cultivated strawberries, a few herbs and edible flowers. The raised bed is full of tasty edibles too, in 2016 being a show bed for various grains being grown on local farms this year as part of the Grown in Totnes project.
Just over the way, as you walk down towards the station you will notice various edible shrubs along the bank behind the railings, raspberry canes, Mallow, Sedum and many other edible perennials. On the train station platform 1 is a herb bed full of fragrant herbs and edible flowers too.
Regular events are held throughout the year to tend these sites.
We meet every second Monday in the month from 12.30-2pm, starting at the Rockery, and always including a snack and drink together. For more information about getting involved contact Wendy on 01803 868305 or [email protected]
