Dartington Hall, a stunning Grade I listed heritage property located within a 1,200 acre private estate near the ancient market town of Totnes. 50 distinctive bedrooms located around our Medieval 14th-century courtyard offer a superb mix of heritage and comfort where you can remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of modern life. There is easy access to over 800 acres of stunning, glorious Grade 2* listed gardens. The onsite White Hart bar and restaurant, which has recently won a bronze ‘Taste of the West’ award for ‘best dining pub’, offers the very best in local and seasonal food and drink. There is a wide film programme including independent, world and mainstream cinema, seven days a week at the 14th-century Barn cinema located within the grounds. Town Market

The independent shops and markets in Totnes are pivotal to the town and have a reputation as some of the best and most unusual in Devon. The general market takes place on Friday and Saturday throughout the year and is held on the Civic Square, just off High Street in the centre of the town. Here you can buy anything from vintage boxes to fresh fi sh from a fishmonger. A collectables and flea market also takes place in the Civic Hall, above the Square, on Fridays. The early bird bags the best market bargains! Seed, food and clothes ‘swap’ events can also take place.
