Bay Horse Inn

Our traditional real-ale pub at the top of town is just a short stroll to Totnes’ historic centre (where landlady Kathy regularly gives guided tours). We have three welcoming double rooms (one king-size convertible to family share). Single and room-only rates available as well as full B&B. We are 'the little pub with a big garden', offering an excellent selection of ales, lagers, wine and regional ciders, and customers are welcome to BYO food from the great takeaways on offer nearby. Regular music nights feature jazz, folk sessions, open-mic and songwriter nights.

Ben’s Wine & Tapas

Ben’s Wine & Tapas is a truly unique dining experience. Inspired by traditional tapas bars on the continent, you can expect a warm welcome, a relaxed, sociable evening and some of the finest food and wine available. Our menu boasts a wealth of ‘small plates’ that draw on influences from cuisines all over the world. Made from local, seasonal ingredients that are predominantly organic our tapas dishes are perfect for sharing and are even better with a glass or two of wine. We source directly from independent growers, specialising in mid-priced, moreish varieties that have been produced sustainably. We cater for a range of dietary requirements, offering vegan and gluten free menus alongside our meat and fish tapas. Don’t have time to dine in? No problem, just pop in and pick up a bottle of your favourite wine and some takeaway tapas to go instead. We’re open from 10 am, Monday to Saturday so early birds can take five and watch the world go by with a steaming cup of coffee and a cake from our tempting selection, all of which are handmade in our farm kitchen, just up the road in Staverton.

 The Cott Inn is a stunning 14th-century thatched pub situated in the peaceful village of Dartington, less than 2 miles from Totnes and surrounded by beautiful countryside. This family owned inn serves award winning food and local ales and ciders, and offers overnight accommodation in luxury boutique bedrooms.

Come and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with cosy log fires during the winter months and a large pretty garden with a new alfresco kitchen serving delicious food throughout the summer. Weekly events include the famous fish and chip night on Tuesday evenings serving fresh locally line-caught fish, fabulous Sunday roasts  and live music every Wednesday and Sunday night.  Dogs and children welcome.

Royal Seven Stars

The Royal Seven Stars lies moments from the River Dart. Our characterful pub and restaurant is a delightful place to eat in Totnes, with delicious food paired with award-winning beers and a welcoming atmosphere. We are excited to introduce our brand-new menu, featuring a choice of reimagined pub classics, fresh seafood, and a selection of mouth-watering sweet options. Our lunch menu, which includes a selection of lighter dishes, is also available from 11am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. The Totnes Brewing Co.

The Totnes Brewing Co. is a small, independent, family run brewery based in the heart of Beautiful Historic Totnes. Set against the backdrop of the town’s stunning Norman Castle, they are so close in fact, that the brewery is situated in the old Moat. Carrying on a strong tradition of brewing in the area, The Totnes Brewing Co. is a Microbrewery & Craft Ale bar, selling not only their own beer but a huge selection of craft beers from the UK and around the world. The diversity of the bottles and cans in stock means a huge variety of different beer styles can also be experienced. Their aim is to continue bringing something new to the town and visitors alike, and to satisfy the taste buds of fellow beer enthusiasts. They endeavor to keep everything they sell as small batch as possible, from the Beers & Ciders, to the Artisan spirits behind the bar. With approximately 80 different Beers, up to ten fantastic Gins, and an eclectic range of Whiskies, Bourbons & Rums, there is something for everyone and always something new to try! The Totnes Brewing Co. is made up of two bars, with a spacious rustic beer garden, you won’t believe the view, they have a castle... Upstairs from the brewery is their gig and performance space, The Barrel House Ballroom, occupying a prime position, this Georgian Ballroom overlooking both the High Street and Totnes Castle, provides a truly unique setting. With a varied monthly programme of events, the now legendary Barrel House Ballroom has a strong focus on original live music, and has played host to some of the biggest names in music. Boasting a bespoke state of the art D&B sound system they aim to continue drawing a strong line up of both local and international acts, as well as attracting more established artists. The Albert Inn

The Albert Inn is a traditional pub in Totnes, Bridgetown. Serving on site brewed ales along with a huge range of drinks, traditional home made pies and curries.

Lovely private lounge available to book for small parties up to 25 people depending on use, comfortably seating 16 people for dinner. Anniversary, small wedding, birthday party, christening etc. If the weather is good the sheltered beer garden offers space to another 60 odd people. Traditional Sunday Roast and themed nights, regular live music and an open mic night for the adventurers.

The Durant Arms

The Durant Arms is ideally located if walking/cycling The Dart Valley Trail. We’ve an excellent reputation for wholesome hearty food; finalists in the Best Sunday Roast in Devon 2016, we use quality, seasonal local produce. Well-conditioned real ale has gained us a place in CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2017. With log burners on chilly days a warm welcome awaits. Advisable to book at weekends & Sunday Lunch, (no food Sunday night). Lunch 12.30pm to 3pm, evening meals 6.30pm to 9pm. Special diets & groups catered for on request. 3 en-suite bedrooms. Closed on Mondays.

The Steam Packet Inn

Beautifully situated on the banks of the River Dart, just a five minute walk to the historic centre of Totnes, you can visit for a quick drink, snack or three course meal with all dishes made fresh on site.
