Totnes Kayaks

We are a very small company here in South Devon, on a mission to make the fun of the River Dart estuary accessible to people.   We focus on the upper two thirds of the estuary between Totnes and Dittisham, and run our rental service from the picturesque, riverside village of Stoke Gabriel.

Paignton Zoo

Totnes Market

The Market Square (also known as the Civic Square) has been home to the bustling weekly markets for hundreds of years, and today you can still stumble across this gem of a shopping experience every Friday and Saturday 9am-4pm. Meet the friendly traders, soak up the colourful sights and discover a huge array of interesting items from local honey to delicious cake; clothes, plants, antiques and lots of other wonderful gifts and treats.

Other Totnes Markets

One of the best places to try the delicious delights of what Totnes and the surrounding area has to offer is at the Totnes Sunday Food  & Craft Market. Held on the 3rd Sunday of each month, discover a range of quality produce and crafts. From April to October there's also an Indoor Artisan Market held in the Civic Hall (next to the Market Square) held on the second Tuesday of the Month 9.30am-3pm. And from May-September, the Totnes Elizabethan Society hold a weekly Charity Market in the Market Square on Tuesdays . Join in the fun to see the stallholders dress up in Tudor costume.

Choose from a range of activities from 1-hour mini adventures to a weekend packed with activities. Dynamic Adventures CIC is a not-for-profit company based in Totnes, the heart of Devon, providing access to adventure for all. We do all we can to encourage a sense of adventure in all our work, making it safe, fun and inspiring.

Kayakhub Totnes

An outstandingly beautiful place to explore the local waterways. We've run many of our trips from here in the past and absolutely love the River Dart.

Leechwell Gardens

A community garden hidden in the middle of Totnes. Often called the 'magical garden' due to its wealth of wildlife, herb garden, natural play area and hosting local events all managed by volunteers. Open from 8.30am until dusk (or 8.30pm if this is earlier). From mid-April until September the garden will be open from 8.30am until 8.30pm, while as the days get shorter it closes earlier until by mid-December it's around 4.30pm. The garden is closed on Christmas Day. No dogs allowed.

Lukesland Gardens

‘One of the finest gardens of its kind in the South West’ (Good Gardens Guide), Lukesland is a hidden gem.  No pre booking required, but we reserve the right to limit entry, in the unlikely event of numbers being too great. This 24-acre family-run garden has an impressive collection of flowering shrubs and rare trees, planted by a Dartmoor stream in a peaceful woodland valley, but still easily accessible from the A38. Wonderful spring and autumn colour. Tea room serving home-made soup and cakes. Children’s trail. Dogs welcome on a lead. Autumn: Sunday and Wednesday  11am -5pm,  3rd October – 14th November.
