Overview
Bright yellow BOB buses are as familiar to Totnes as the East Gate Arch and here’s a few tips on using them to get around the town:
BOB is ‘Hail and Ride’ which means you can flag one down anywhere it is safe to do so. In the main street this means anywhere so why not give it a try.
There’s a BOB going up the main street every 15 minutes for most of the day and the best place to catch BOB is in the main high street.
The ‘Round Town’ adult fare is only 50p or free for bus pass holders
BOB is for everyone – any age, local or visitor – for a ride up the hill or to one of the neighbouring villages (on certain days)
BOB has accessible ramp access therefore shopping trolleys, luggage, wheelchairs, buggies and even class 2 mobility scooters are welcome on board.
Three out of four services every hour go to the Totnes Railway Station.
Pick up a timetable from any BOB bus, at the Visit Totnes Information Centre April-October, at Totnes Library or the Seven Stars Hotel.
