Overview

‘Snark’ is a 26 metre fully functional spritsail Thames sailing barge. She is newly commissioned and fully coded (licenced) for sailing in the coastal waters and rivers of the English Channel. Our tariffs are fully inclusive with plenty of good home-cooked food, comfortable accommodation and hands-on experience.

Snark Limited offer a diverse range of events including:
• One, two and seven day sailing cruises around the S and SW coasts of England and associated rivers and estuaries
• Yoga and meditation retreats
• Birdwatching, painting and culinary cruises by arrangement
• Quayside pop up events including yoga suppers, jazz cafe, food demos and dining

They are also available for commercial and private charter and events taking up to 12 passengers for day trips, 8 if staying on board overnight and up to 32 for quayside events.

This year Dartmouth is also celebrating the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower voyage by sailing to London and following her route and dates along the South coast to Plymouth
If we lose a day or two to bad weather don’t worry there is always plenty to do onboard from basic seamanship and knot tying to an extensive library or take an excursion ashore.
And of course, there’s always the food and drink to prepare and eat.

All food is prepared and cooked freshly on board by the crew from locally sourced organic produce catering for most dietary needs (a couple of days notice required). Events are generally all inclusive but for pop-ups they normally run a cash bar.

We like shoes that encourage healthy feet and all that goes with that, clothing that is free from harsh chemicals and allows freedom of movement to play! And toys that promote imagination and creativity. In doing this we also hope our children will be encouraged to learn the value of caring about and appreciating the quality of their belongings, and knowing that the things they love have been made fairly and consciously.
