The Civic Hall is a great place to celebrate and host a wide range of events from weddings and birthday parties to talks, community suppers and live music.

Facilities
– Main Hall (62ft x 41ft x 20ft high) which can seat 270 people
– Newly refitted bar area
– Fully furnished catering standard kitchen. A large, modern kitchen has been installed in the bar area, which is available to users either to hire on its own or with the rest of the Hall. Refurbishment of the bar area with new furniture and fittings has created a relaxing and friendly space.
– Modern speaker and sound systems

Accessibility
A ramp from the Market Square leads to the main hall and there is an accessible toilet near the entrance. However, the main toilets, bar and backstage area are all accessed via stairs.

Charges
The Council holds down charges to maximise community use. Hirers are invoiced for each element of their booking, so that they only pay for what they actually use. There are reduced rates for non-profit, schools and charity organisations, for bookings on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and for multiple or block bookings.
