Kingsbridge Farmers’ Market

1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. You'll find everything you'd expect from a farmers' market and more. Fruit and vegetables with as many as possible locally grown. A glistening array of fresh fish and crab landed locally. The smell of freshly baked bread and pastries still warm from the oven. Fresh meat served by the farmers who tended their livestock, properly hung and from contented animals. Luscious handmade cakes, a wide range of homemade preserves and sauces, cheeses, locally grown flowers, plants and herbs, pate's, pies, pasties and honey from Dartmoor. Free range eggs and local ale. An interesting and varied selection of local craft stalls - perfect for a gift to take home or for treating yourself. Well worth a visit to Kingsbridge Town Square between 9am - 1pm on the first and third Saturday of the month.

SHAF – South Hams Arts Trail

As diverse as the artistic talents of SHAF members are the ways in which SHAF artists work and where they choose to exhibit their work. Some artists work on their kitchen tables, others in purpose-built studios; some work alone, others in an artists’ collective. So visitors to SHAF Arts Trail venues will find some artists exhibiting in their homes and studios, others in galleries, exhibition halls, and even pubs! Following the Arts Trail also provides a wonderful opportunity to explore the glorious South Hams and discover places (including cream tea venues) you never knew existed.

It’s Hot It’s Not – Reckless Sleepers

Why is it that sometimes I’m hot but you’re cold? Why are there puddles and sometimes not? How can it be sunny and rainy all at once and also not at all? And if it’s summer here, why is it winter there? Reckless Sleepers is an extraordinary company who make work between visual art, dance and theatre. This surreal, funny and carefully crafted physical performance explores the weather in all its forms and takes delight in discovering the world anew and how we experience it differently, wherever we are. A highly visual show with no spoken language and plenty of music and sound effects.  ‘forty-five minutes of pure fun‘ Curious Mum ‘This is a 45-minute-long performance aimed at youngsters 2 to 5, though certainly not limited to that age group. A babe in arms next to me seemed captivated and accompanying adults were enjoying it too.’ British Theatre Guide. Box Office open daily 1pm - 7pm
