Drive in Cinemas

Utilising Ultra HD LED Screens, we'll be providing daytime and evening drive-in cinema that the whole family can enjoy. ​In classic drive-in cinema style, you'll hear the audio of the film via your in-car entertainment system. ​With retro signage, decoration, costumes and music. We're taking you back in time. As you wait for the film to start, you'll be instructed how to tune into our FM Radio transmission which will include in the run-up to the show, classic 50s music and retro film adverts. Upon approach to the event site, you'll get to see our event staff all in costume, as well as signage that'll simply take you back in time. If you'd like to come dressed up to fit the film you are seeing, feel free! We'll be putting up sneak peeks as we build the theatre, so stay tuned on all our social media profiles.   There are currently tow venues: Milehouse Park & Ride - Plymouth About the venue: Most commonly known as the carpark for Plymouth Argyle, Plymouth Life Centre and Central Park. Settlement Plymouth

Settlement is a Native American-led performative encampment in which 29 acclaimed Indigenous artists from across North America will activate Pounds House and surrounding grounds in Plymouth’s Central Park. With practices ranging from performance, social engagement, installation, film, poetry, dance and immersive theatre, the wide range of contemporary Native American artists that will share their work for Settlement is unprecedented.

Meet Titan The Robot

Meet Titan The Robot on 4th August 2020 at Woodlands Family Theme Park in Devon. Titan has also worked alongside superstars including Rihanna, Will Smith and Jackie Chan and has travelled the world with appearances in countries such as USA, Dubai, China, Vietnam and Thailand. Titan is taking a break out from his busy schedule around the world and coming to Woodlands Family Theme Park near Dartmouth in Devon to entertain everyone with his fantastic show. Big Brick Safari Paignton Zoo

Paignton Zoo will be home to over 80 giant wild animal models made from thousands of LEGO® bricks! Car Park Party

Dartmoor Walking Festival

Explore a different side to Dartmoor and delve into its folklore, history and landscape with a range of walks led by expert guides. The Ramblers, National Trust and other walking providers such as “Spirit of Adventure” are keen to support the festival and full details can be found in the programme. The Dartmoor National Park are fully supporting the week with Ranger-led walks as well as archaeological visits and events and are delighted to also have the support of those who live and work on Dartmoor within the Dartmoor Commoner’s Council. The Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team is also supporting the week and if you have ever wondered what they do out in the dark when searching for missing walkers then come and join them on an evening exercise to find out more! Rails & Ales

Twice a year the South Devon Railway celebrate with a feast of steam and diesel trains – and their famous beer and cider festival. Trains will be running all day with departures from each end of the line (Buckfastleigh and Totnes) at frequent intervals throughout the day. At Buckfastleigh, the London Transport Routemaster bus runs trips to Buckfast Abbey and along to Ashburton, the garden railway and all the usual attractions, from the museum to the gardens and gift shop, will be open. At Staverton the beer and cider festival will be in full swing from approximately 11am until late offering a great selection of different ales, craft beers and ciders to enjoy from Devon Diesel Society’s award-winning bar. The Staverton Buffet Coach opens to serve a variety of hot & cold snacks, teas, coffees and soft drinks. Sunday evening is usually quiz night – a just for fun general knowledge quiz.

Nourish Festival, Bovey Tracey

The seventh Nourish Festival will take place on Saturday 29th August when Bovey Tracey will be overflowing with food, music and craft events from 10 until 5. Our main street will be filled with great Westcountry food producers along with a mouth-watering selection of street food vendors - there's no need to go hungry! A mini- craft festival featuring some of the region's best makers will take place in the Methodist Hall just around the corner on Le Mollay-Littry Way. And - I almost forgot to mention - the third Nourish Gin Festival will take place in and around the Dartmoor Whisky Distillery at the top of town. While you're up there, you'll surely want to check out how Devon's first whisky is progressing, and also see how the Bovey Paradiso team are getting on with their plan to create a cinema just across the road.
