Schumacher Nut Roast (£12.95) (V, GF)

All that, plus a reduced version of our usual pub menu. Contact email@example.com for details, or book a table via their website.

Island Artist: an exhibition of paintings and reproductions by Emma Carter Bromfield.
Emma Carter Bromfield is a regular exhibitor at Harbour House with her fresh, atmospheric semi-abstract paintings of coasts and seascapes. She describes her style as ‘contemporary impressionism’, with new paintings and limited edition reproductions exploring seascapes and landscapes in all seasons.
The iconic image of Burgh Island is an enduring theme in her work, and visitors to the gallery will enjoy Emma’s tales of a childhood spent in the idyllic environment.
Emma says, “My collection has typically involved paintings of the Southwest coastline, in all seasons, and especially Burgh Island which I like to call home. I enjoy the narrative and inspiration it has provided me for 44 years starting as a small child and now as a painter. My practice is based on an expression of a place rather than a realistic interpretation. I like to allow the atmosphere and free-spirited essence of a place to feed our souls, and I mainly paint from my head, allowing this to freely flow out.”
The Island Artist exhibition opens at Harbour House in Kingsbridge on Tuesday 20 October and opens daily until Sunday 15 November. Admission is free.
Every Thursday from April to the end of October, meet local guide Kathy Alexander at 10.30 am at the Tourist Information Office, Market Square. Learn about the history of the town in an informal and friendly walk.
£5 per person, £3 under 16's.
Hallooscream! Back this October 2020!
Devon's Best Family Boo Days!
Halloween at Woodlands Family Theme Park is a little different this year. Last year you loved the freaky rides like the Spooky Ghost Farm Tractors, you screamed for more in the Phantom Pirates Maze and thousands of you carved your pumpkins ready for Halloween night. Well, although Covid-19 has put a dampener on the whole year, we are happy to be able to offer a Halloween experience* of a different kind, so make sure you visit us this October Half Term as Woodlands Family Theme Park turns into Woodlands Family Scream Park!
Plus make sure you visit your favourite animals at the Zoo-Farm and Falconry Centre. There is so much to fit in one day why not upgrade to an Annual Pass to come back again, and again and again. You can make a day of it, rest in peace by grabbing a bite to eat at one of our many food and drink outlets. Don't forget to visit the Treasure Trove Gift Shop, for the perfect souvenir or plan ahead for your Christmas stocking fillers.
*Experiences are dependent on Government restrictions.
Our reopening schedule will be continually reviewed and revised. Rides, attractions, and facilities may be modified or suspended without notice.

Live, The Diamond Family Archive craft a mesmeric live-show from drums, acoustic guitars, lots of FX pedals, keyboards set to drone, tape delay, loops and bellows, bows, harmonicas, cosmic harps, toys and broken cymbals. All coming together to create music which holds echos of post-rock, traditional folk, spiritual soul music, psychedelic rock and lo-fi.
Foot-stomping, finger-picking, hollering vs pin-drop hush – fragile, lazy grace.
“The atmosphere builds gradually, the sound rising and falling as the duo coax pulsing beats and a tidal ebb and flow of music. The natural world is at the heart of The Diamond Family sound and their songs shift like the seasons” – Zero Tolerance
“this mesmerising duo play a hybrid of traditional folk wrapped in melancholic psychedelic soundscapes that paint picturesque portraits of the English countryside” – Ave Noctum
7 - 9pm - pre booking essential. See website for details.
