Family Art In Nature

Spend an inspiring morning with your children in the beautiful, natural surroundings of the Sharpham Estate's woods and meadows. You'll join our resident outdoors educator Brigit-Anna McNeill exploring the land - including the areas we're rewilding. You'll forage for natural materials and objects to create your own unique piece of art to take home, working with leaf pigments, charcoal and paints made from earth pigments. We'll be based in our wonderful Woodland Campsite, which offers running water, shelter and toilets and we'll have the campfire going. You'll get a warming hot drink and a snack by the fire too! This day is for you if you are: Looking for a family nature event happening during half-term Interested in learning more about the natural world A fan of the Great Outdoors & creativity What should you bring? People walking towards the event Warm, waterproof clothes and sturdy, waterproof footwear A water bottle for everyone in your group An optional packed lunch - you can stay on in the woods to eat it for half an hour after the event A snack if you get peckish along the way - even though we'll be supplying a snack and a hot drink
