Dart Music Festival

Dart Music Festival is back by popular demand and the countdown to the 2022 festival has begun. Volunteers are already beavering away to bring you the biggest and best-ever festival, in this, its 25th birthday year. Taking place on 6th, 7th and 8th May 2022 the festival will once again host more than 100 acts performing in over 15 venues situated all around the town. Acts will perform in venues as unique as an ancient fort, the ramparts of old castle walls, a fishermen’s church and, of course, our Victorian Bandstand. There are also open-air street-based performances making for a constant buzz of enjoyment across a huge range of musical genres and tastes. This site provides you with everything you need to know about this year’s event – our extremely popular ‘Eat, Stay, Shop’ page provides all you all the information on where to go, and what to do while you are in town. You can also find sections on how and where to buy our much-sought-after DMF branded merchandise, how to become a ‘Festival Friend’, how the music festival Foundation continues the festival’s legacy throughout the year, and the story of how the very first Dart Music Festival came about all those years ago.

Sea Change Presents

In May 2022, we are bringing it all back home. Following the roaring success of 280821, Sea Change will again fill the town with art, film, conversation and a lot of music. The Sea Change line-up – to be announced in January 2022 – promises guarantees three days of truly unique events happening inside Totnes' Grade I-listed St Mary’s Church, the ethically innovative Bull Inn, the gold-ceilinged Barrel House Ballroom, the 17th-century Birdwood House, the exquisitely-restored Totnes Cinema, the hugely important Civic Hall space and the award-winning Drift Record Shop among others. And, as a very special launch night event, on Thursday 26th May, the world-renowned Chilly Gonzales will perform an intimate solo piano concert at Dartington's Great Hall, amid the beautiful gardens and woodland of the historic cultural site, just along the road from Totnes. Devon County Show

There’s only one place in Devon where on just three days of the year the county is revealed in all its glory! We’re looking forward to treating our visitors to the best of food, farming and entertainment all in one day. The Devon County Agricultural Association is delighted to announce that the 2022 Devon County Show will take place on Thursday 30th June, Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd July. The event traditionally runs during the third week of May, but along with other shows was cancelled in 2020 . In 2021, the Show was delayed to July and was one of the few three-day agricultural shows to go ahead. As a Covid Safe outdoor event, the organisers were delighted at the confidence of the general public and welcomed over 60,000 visitors across the three days. After much consultation, discussion and reviewing of the likely impact of Covid-19 during the winter and spring, the Council of the DCAA have agreed to schedule the Show at the start of July for a further year to mitigate any further risk posed by the Pandemic. It is anticipated that the Show will return to its usual May dates in 2023. Show Manager, Sam Mackenzie-Green said: ‘By taking an early decision now rather than next spring we hope this will give our exhibitors and trade stands time to prepare and we look forward to welcoming them to 126th Devon County Show in 2022’.
