Pizza & Pottery

Discover the delights of pottery and sourdough wood-fired pizza at this special evening event in the Heart of Totnes. During the evening you will create your own unique items from clay. Learn hand-building techniques, and the art of glazing and firing all in a couple of hours! This is a fun, informal event held once a week at The Mansion on Friday evenings. The workshops are run by Artist Lili John who has been working as a professional Artist for more than 20 years. Lili's studied antique porcelain restoration in the 1980s' and after a corporate career she developed her Art & Design practice in 2008. Lili sells her ceramics internationally and she runs pottery and craft arts workshops in Totnes where she has lived for a number of years. The delicious pizzas are made fresh onsite by Pizza Pirates. They are more than just a pizza place, they're a social enterprise looking to do things differently. Our profits support work to help people overcome difficulties and lead meaningful lives. N.B. Price includes: either a 12-inch pizza to share between 2 or an individual 8 -inch pizza and the pottery workshop (all materials, use of tools and kiln firing). Kali Juga Jive – A Story Concert

Skedaddle! are a jazz band based around Totnes in Devon. We play upbeat, good-time music that is a great gift from the wonderful musicians of old. For 4 dates, Skedaddle is joined by Story-wizard Iwan Kushka for their rambunctious rendition of an epic Indian tale in which two boys meet one girl and lose their hearts (and heads) in the process. When they eventually find help, it is from none other than great Kali, the darkest of all Goddesses. A mythic experience of rhapsodic scale, humour, and Eastern wisdom, interlaced with an up-beat jazzy musical score. BBQ and gorgeous salads by ‘The Kitchen Table’ conscious catering, plus a fully licensed bar stocked with wine and local beers. Day Program: Afternoon: 4 to 4.30pm: Musical tales for kids: "When Peter met the Wolf in New Orleans" 5 to 5.30pm: Musical tales for kids: "The strange story of Kiffir" BBQ + Bar are open all day Tickets are £5, free for under 4's. Evening: 6 to 7pm: come for BBQ + Bar 7pm: ‘Kali Yuga Jive’ Story-Concert followed by Swing-jazz Party with Skedaddle live! Tickets £10/ £5 for under 10's
