David Walliams’ Awful Auntie at Dartington

The play tells the story of Stella Saxby, the sole heir to Saxby Hall, who is tormented by her awful Aunt Alberta and her giant owl. The dastardly duo will stop at nothing to take her inheritance from her. Make sure you bring a chair, blanket and some weather-dependent gear, and you’ll be in for a gripping, heart-warming yet hilarious adventure! The running time of this event is two hours, with an interval in between, where you can grab a beverage and a snack from the White Hart. English Riviera Air Show and Jubilee Weekend

The English Riviera Airshow and Jubilee weekend will take flight from Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June 2022, with breath-taking displays over the stunning Devon bay. This famous airshow will be joined by a community event 'Music on the Meadow' a Jubilee flotilla and the Queen's Jubilee beacons to create a full weekend of celebrations. Torbay's natural ampitheatre provides a unique and stunning location for the English Riviera Airshow creating the perfect stage for a coastal event which kickstarts the UK's airshow season. Over the years They've hosted some of the most world class military and civillian air display teams, including the RAF Red Arrows, RAF Typhoon display team, RAF Tucano T1 and the battle of Britain memorial flight, featuring the hurricane, Spitfire and Dakota.

Beacon Lighting to celebrate the Jubilee

Totnes Town Council will be lighting a beacon as part of the nation chain of beacons on Thursday 2nd June at 9.45pm. The beacon will be located on Kingsbridge Hill and the flame should be visible from many parts of the town, with particularly good views from the hills in Bridgetown.

The Big Jubilant Jamboree

Calling all monarchists, anarchists, botanists and…everyone! Come one, come ALL: you are hereby invited to a three-day fiesta of fun and frolics on and around the Great Lawn at Dartington over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend. From Thursday 2nd – Saturday 4th June, our glorious outdoor spaces will be abuzz with one massive party for all creatures great and small! And best of all. the main party event on the Great Lawn is FREE for all to enjoy, with live music, games and more available daily. Totnes and Dartington Open Studios is a celebration of the wealth of diverse talent in and around Totnes. It provides a platform for local artists to open their studios and share their work with visitors. 16 artists at 12 different venues within Totnes, Dartington, Staverton and at Beech, near Bowden House.
