Apple Day at Sharpham

Sunday 4 October 2020 - 10.30am - 4pm Apple Day will include a host of apple-themed activities for all the family, including storytelling, walks, arts and crafts and games. Activities will be confirmed nearer the date.  Try the fresh juice grown at Sharpham's organic orchards - straight from the press. Or bring your own apples to juice (just not windfalls from orchards grazed with animals in the last six weeks). In exchange for bringing the fruit, you will be given half of this delicious freshly-pressed apple juice back in new bottles while the other half will be kept to help support the charitable work of the Trust. This is up to a maximum of 12 litres of juice (which on a 50/50 split between us would need 72 kilos of apples from you!).

Shaun of the Dead film at Haldon Forest

Socially Distanced Open Air Cinema: 2m x 2m seating pitches will be provided for each booker (maximum 4 people per pitch). If you’re booking more than 4 tickets please all arrive together so you can be allocated adjoining pitches. For full information about how we’ll be managing social distancing at our screenings, please click HERE Let’s all hide out in Exeter’s Haldon Forest Park and wait for it all to blow over, as a pub-based zombie apocalypse unfolds in Edgar Wright’s wildly funny rom-zom-com. Shaun’s life is going nowhere; a dead-end job, challenging flatmates and an unhappy girlfriend see him struggling with the day-to-day, that is until a horrifying virus turns the population into ravenous, brain-dead zombies and forces him to step up and fight for the future. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost shine, and laughs, gore and thrills are aplenty in this modern Brit classic. Food and Drink: you are welcome to bring your own food and drink to this event, including alcohol. No glass, please. Other Information: Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The film is rated 15. Deckchairs will be provided for those purchasing premium seats, all other customers selecting standard seating must bring their own low-backed camping chairs or deckchairs. Weather policy: screenings go ahead in all but worst weathers. Only if there’s heavy, prolonged rain or high winds forecast will the screening be postponed or cancelled. No refunds will be given unless the screening is cancelled.
