The Transposed Heads: a Story-Concert by Skedaddle

The Stargazer Society presents The Epic, Surreal and Rhapsodic MYTH & MUSIC CARAVAN with Iwan Kushka & Band

Storyteller Iwan Kushka is joined by guitarist Myles de Gruyther and violinist Becky Doe (all three from everybody’s favourite Swing jazz band ’Skedaddle’), presenting his rambunctious rendition of “The Transposed Heads”, a marvellous Indian Legend in which two boys meet one girl and loose their hearts (and heads) in the process. An experience of rhapsodic scale, interlaced with an up-beat jazzy musical score. “There is something very akin to magic in his mastery of language, it follows a pattern which seems to be subconsciously known to all his listeners so that even when he begins to speak in another language the rhythm allied to his body language takes you with him so that you are still part of his story and it is part of you.” Gill O’Donnell, Settle Story Festival. Ticket Price: £8 (12+) BOOKINGS ONLINE (limited tickets) The Woodland Bar opens from 6.30pm (serving wine, beers, mixers, hot/cold soft drinks, homemade soup and our famous lollypop waffles) Showtime: 7.30pm (interval at 8.10pm) Hot water bottles, blankets and back supports provided (limited, so bring your own)
