Top Floor Apartment

Totnes is a very popular destination with its Tudor Merchant’s architecture, independent shops, charming waterfront, and thriving Friday & Saturday market. It boasts a wealth of restaurants, cafes, wine bars, and pubs with a strong whole food or vegetarian emphasis, and is also known as a centre of alternative medicine and therapy. The unique Dartington Hall is a short distance away, with its splendid Plantagenet Manor House, and famous gardens, and Totnes is set between Dartmoor and the idyllic South Hams coastline, with the award winning Blackpool Sands beach, and Slapton Sands just over 10 miles distant. Totnes has a main line railway station and is well served by bus routes : Dartmouth, with its fine natural harbour can be reached by bus, or by river Dart steamer, or steam train. The apartment front door is just off the High Street, and a shared flight of stairs leads up to the apartment private door, with one more flight stairs, up to the top landing with window. 94 High Street is an eighteenth century listed building, with much character, roof beams ,sloping floors and exposed fire place. The apartment consists of a small double bed room, with four foot bed, small chest of drawers, and wardrobe space, a snug with 2 seater settee, and smart TV. (Wifi is included).The kitchen has sink, cooker, fridge and microwave and is equipped. The small shower room has shower, toilet and small wash basin and the Dinette has folding table and chairs, with original fireplace and small window, with views over the roof tops. The apartment is suitable for 1 or 2 persons: at the owners discretion, the dinette can be converted into a single bedroom, to accommodate 1 person in each bedroom. (3 persons are not allowed.) This 2 bedroom  arrangement is not available for short lets. The apartment is in a residential area, meaning that there be no undue noise before 8 am, or after 11 pm. Covid guidelines must be  observed, with sanitiser etc. in the  main entrance and deep cleaning,   is undertaken after each let.

Jack’s Cottage

Jack’s is a beautifully presented and very well equipped detached barn set in 300 acres of farmland which you are welcome to enjoy. The cottage overlooks the rolling Devon hills. The barn was fully converted in 2009 to the very highest standards and is ideally suited to either a young family or couples looking for a peaceful retreat in an area of unspoilt natural beauty.

Two double en-suite bedrooms, one king and one super king (or 2 singles). Oil fired central heating and woodburner, instant hot water.
